Karina Qanir 

GEGEN RESIDENT  

Karina Qanir grow up in East Germany near Berlin and moved to the city in 1995. She began djing 21 years ago in the Berlin underground queer scene with new-wave and alternative rock. At the beginning of the new millennium she started playing electro and later techno sets. Her musical origins are in post-punk, industrial, EBM and new-wave and her techno sets reflect the mood of this music. Karina holds residencies at Gegen and SchwuZ. She has played at many of the Berlin techno institutions including Tresor, Sisyphos, ://about blank, Mensch Meier and at parties such as KAOS, Antagony and Sabotage.
